Prytania Park Hotel

Moderately sized rooms but they had very comfortable beds. Not too firm and soft enough for a side sleeper. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of our needs. You could hear a little bit of noise through the door but it was quiet and I had no trouble sleeping. The staff was very accommodating when we asked to come back to our room hours later looking for some forgotten earrings. They happily went with us to search and we found them!! It has a great location that made the city very accessable via the streetcar. It is also near to distilleries and a number of local bars. We went to the French quarter, Magazine Street and the Garden District without needing to drive.

Check in and check out was quick and courteous. We got lots of friendly advice about the area and riding the street cars from the desk guy (didn't get his name, but drives a nice ride!). The location is right off St. Charles, right at a streetcar stop...so super convenient. It's within walking distance to the WWII Museum and plenty of good food options. The room itself stayed cool and had all the basics (microwave, mini fridge, dresser, armoire, TV, etc...). Our room has a second bed in a loft which was kind of cool. The beds were comfy and we had good night's sleep. The only thing that wasn't good was the toilet had draining issues...it took several flushes most times. We informed one of the cleaners who seemed to already be aware of the issue (room #237); but was not fixed prior to our departure. Oh and there's really not a good view from any of the rooms; which wasn't a big deal for us. Continental breakfast is available and is good for what it is (English muffins, cereal, yogurt, fruit cups, etc...). Nothing hot though. We had a great stay!

We really enjoyed our pre-cruise stay at Prytania Park. We loved that we could park our car there for the duration of our cruise for seven nights at no extra charge. They have a security guard in the parking lot every night and its gated. We liked the area a lot and always felt safe walking around in the area even after dark. Lots of great restaurants and a park just a few minutes walk away. Plus, the streetcar is just a couple of minutes away! We really liked the continental breakfast as well and are now big Community coffee fans :). Overall, a great stay for the price. We will stay here again next time we visit New Orleans.

Super friendly and helpful front desk staff and security guard. Great location. Free parking. Decent sized rooms with blackout shades. Seemed clean. It was very noisy at night hearing all of the cars driving by but I was otherwise happy with my hotel choice. However, they serve what was probably the most disappointing breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. It is literally just a plate of defrosted Eggo waffles and a 1950's convention oven. No hot foods. Cheap coffee.

Great staff. The room was clean and I loved the loft that gave us our personal space. Loved the free parking with a security guard. Made me feel safe. Simple breakfast. Very close to many fun activities. And you can’t beat the prices period. Plenty towels, cold AC, you can buy snacks inside, they even have makeup remover and other things they set out for you. They have an ironing board, blow dryer, tv, microwave, and a fridge. I will definitely be coming back.

Cute, Quaint, and Peaceful!!! We absolutely loved the Prytania Park Hotel. It wasn't located right in the "hustle and grind" of New Orleans, but (being less than 2 miles away) it was PERFECTLY close enough to catch the bus and/or streetcar right to Canal Street, Bourbon St and (walking distance) to the French Quarter/Market and Riverwalk (FYI - $1.25 per ride OR $3.00 for an all day bus pass). We were there the weekend right after Thanksgiving giving (which was the Bayou Classic weekend). May I say, what a DEAL on this room. It was REALLY nice, cozy and clean. An added bonus, not only was the breakfast FREE, but so was the PARKING...YOU CANNOT BEAT THAT! Lastly, the customer service...it was the TOTAL PACKAGE of customer care, kindness, and professionalism (If I'm not mistaking, I think the names of the ladies were Ms. Lee and Tia). If you ever in the Big Easy, do not hesitate to give this hotel a try. I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Thank you Prytania Park Hotel. Hope to be back one day SOON!

The receptionist was amazing, we felt she really went the extra mile for us. She even let us check in early which we really appreciated. Parking was super easy and convenient. Room was clean, had plenty of towels and toiletries provided. They had shower caps, soap, lotion, mouthwash and makeup remover wipes. My only complaint is that it was hard to sleep with the footsteps in the room above us. This can’t really be helped and obviously depends on the upstairs stayers. We have discussed and agreed that if we ever return to Nola this place will be our first pick for stays.

This is a fun little hotel for something different. Rooms are small, except my kids were thrilled to have their own beds in the loft (rather than sharing a queen as in a typical hotel.) The ambiance is quaint. Location near St Charles street car was wonderful. "Expanded continental" breakfast is more than the prepackaged muffins I expected with cereals, granola, yogurt, etc, but it is not a full breakfast.We parked our car for cruise week, and I was impressed with the fenced, lit and secured lot. There are small reasons it is not a perfect hotel, but I had read reviews, knew what I was going to and thoroughly enjoyed it.
